High School: Catholic Central Tyrone was a 3-sport athlete (Football, Track & Field & Basketball). As a football player, he was voted 1st Team All-City for WECSSAA every year. During his Junior football days, Tyrone was named MVP of WECSSAA and was the recipient of the Royal Arcanum Outstanding Athlete Award. Tyrone also saw success in the Field events at OFSAA. He took home OFSAA Gold Medals in both shot-put & discus as a Freshman and Junior. On the hardwood, he saw success as well. As a senior, he received WECSSAA MVP honors and the Bill Rogin Award (Best basketball player in Ontario Secondary Schools). Currently, Tyrone is a Defensive Tackle in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 3rd Round (81st Overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. His collegiate career was finished off at Boise State University. Tyrone currently runs a local, instructional youth football camp for football players called Windsor's Finest Football Academy during his offseason. |
